Ridiculous!

I was so "gung-ho" (is that a word and if so, what are its' origins?) with this blog and then......NOTHING.....or maybe it's not nothing, but life. Yeah, let's say it's life that got in the way of me writing about life.

Well, many months have passed and now today is Amélie's 2nd Birthday! She's so beautiful my baby girl. This morning I told her that she was officially not a baby anymore. She was a big girl. She looked at me very sadly, patted her chest and said, "No Mama, I'm the baby." and then snuggled into me. I will forever remember that feeling. She's so small and cuddly and I couldn't love her more.

I hope she's having a great day at school and that her "party" (one half hour with pretzels, cheese and cupcakes) makes her very happy. : )

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY BABY GIRL!!!

August was gone in the blink of an eye

August was here and gone before I had a chance post anything! It's not a particularly nice month to be in Florida. It's ridiculously humid (you can see the camera fogged up in some of the pictures), it rains a lot, but we had a lot of fun with friends and family and that's what it's all about.

Andrew in the spa.

Leslie with her birthday cake. Happy 4oth, my dear.

Kind of creepy and at the same time cool photo .

So happy that we finally let them go to the beach! It was a dreary overcast day, but still fun at the beach for the kids.

Mama Christina protecting her Jasper.

Our firsts. Mine and Leslie's.

Little Miss Amélie playing in the sand. Actually mesmerized by the sand.

True Floridian. LOOOOVES THE BEACH!

Mmmmm......popsicles......

Amélie enjoyed this hot dog bun so much and was so cute that I had to post ALL of the photos of her eating it!

Sunday at the Park

Holy Hotness, Batman. I do not recommend the park at noon in July in Florida! Sometimes I wonder what we're thinking? Amélie did like the slide, though. As far as I can remember this is the first time she's been on one!

Independence Day 2009

Thought we'd try this whole blog thing. Never imagined when I first had Jasper...and then Amélie that I would ever again have time to shower, let alone blog. But now that this parenting gig is getting a little easier...did I just say that?! I thought this would be a nice way to keep in touch. I hope you enjoy!

We spent the 4th with friends Kim and Steve and their daughter Ella. Good friends, good food, good fireworks. Bad "trying to get over the bridge back from the beach" My suggestions, if ever you find yourself on the beach for the 4th, plan on staying the night somewhere!
